Inspired by the work of thirty six Chinese master calligraphers, Lu breathes fresh life into their masterpieces, copying and layering their art to create a new lexicon of symbols.
As the original language system becomes obscured, a new visual structure takes form, a language waiting to be deciphered by the viewer's faith, power, and desire.
